The Delegate Experience
Miss Grand DC, Maryland & Virginia
The Miss Grand DC, Maryland & Virginia organization is committed to providing contestants with an elevated and empowering experience that goes beyond the competition itself. Throughout the program, delegates are given access to industry professionals, professional development opportunities, and valuable tools that help them grow both personally and professionally.
Our goal is to ensure that every contestant leaves the experience with new skills, meaningful connections, and lasting confidence.
Beauty & Glamour Workshop with Beauty by LadyCode

Delegates participate in an exclusive makeup workshop led by the internationally recognized team at Beauty by LadyCode. The workshop focuses on teaching contestants how to elevate their beauty routine for pageant, media, and professional settings.
Contestants learn techniques for camera-ready makeup, stage glam, and long-lasting beauty looks that translate both on stage and on camera. The session also provides insight into working with professional makeup artists and preparing for major pageant competitions.
Professional Headshot Session

Each delegate receives a professional headshot session with renowned fashion photographer Noel Calubaquib, known for his work across fashion, beauty, and editorial photography. Hair and makeup for the shoot are provided by the Beauty by LadyCode team to ensure every contestant looks and feels her absolute best.
These professional images provide contestants with high-quality portfolio photos that can be used for personal branding, modeling opportunities, pageantry, and social media.
Runway & Walking Workshop

Delegates refine their stage presence during a specialized walking workshop led by Arthur Louie, a respected runway coach known for developing confident and powerful stage walks. Contestants learn posture, movement, and techniques that help them command attention on stage during swimsuit and evening gown competitions.
This training helps contestants build confidence, improve their runway presence, and develop a polished walk suited for pageant and fashion environments.
Social Media & Personal Branding Workshop
In today’s digital world, personal branding is more important than ever. Delegates receive a social media and personal branding workshop led by influencer Lisa Opie. During this session, contestants learn how to build a strong online presence, create engaging content, and leverage social media platforms to grow their influence and professional opportunities. The workshop also covers strategies for working with brands, presenting themselves professionally online, and maximizing their platform as a titleholder.
Through these experiences, the Miss Grand DC, Maryland & Virginia program aims to provide contestants with more than a competition. It is an opportunity to develop skills, gain professional exposure, and become part of a supportive community of ambitious and inspiring women.
